摘要: We explored the utility of routine HIV testing data from clinical services for estimating prevalence. A systematic review identified 28 eligible publications, covering concentrated epidemics (16 28) and generalized (12). Of 16 papers epidemics, five presented estimates by risk group four history with a median prevalence 1.8% in first-time testers compared 3% repeat testers. Two reports restricted to asymptomatic clients three included breakdowns reason-for-test, higher symptomatic (62%) than others (24%). showed based on were slightly derived other surveillance methods, but did not restrict patients. conclude that may be supplementary source provided careful analyses are conducted.
