摘要: Abstract The water absorption characteristics of various networks based on diglycidylether butane diol (DGEBD) and 3,5-diethyl-2,4-diaminotoluene with amine/epoxide functional ratio ranging from 0.7 to 1.3 Tg values 36 91°C were studied in the 20–100°C temperature range. equilibrium concentrations are order 6–7% by weight slight tendency decrease temperature, which can be attributed relatively high (negative) value heat dissolution (H S ≈−46±1 kJ mol −1 ). Plasticization effects predicted a simplified version free volume theory showing that depletion is an increasing function initial value. There no significant discontinuity at variations solubility diffusivity, behaviour controlled presence strong hydrogen bonds between molecules polar groups (essentially hydroxyls) polymer. comparison epoxide–amine shows molar contribution given hydroxyl group concentration, suggests close hydroxyls could play concerted role absorption. For samples having epoxide excess, gravimetric curves display two steps, first one being due physical sorption second hydrolysis. main characteristic features this latter process analysed. In conditions under study (temperature, sample thickness), it not diffusion controlled.
