摘要: This article examines the practice of animal cloning in relation to discourses care and responsibility, particular a common cultural interpretation theorized by Michel Foucault. figures as “pastoral” premised essential differences between carers objects care, its interspecies implications are increasingly drawing attention theorists studies. argues that, perhaps despite appearances, welfare form pastoral abstract conceptualizations animals that dominant biotechnology not mutually exclusive, but rather may be operating conjunction with each other, discursively working together naturalize ethics reinforce than question human dominance superiority.
