摘要: textabstractThe dual specific phosphatase PTEN (Phosphatase and TENsin homolog deleted on chromosome 10) is one of the most extensively studied proteins last decade. It was first identified as a tumor suppressor in sporadic cancers frequently altered genes. Its deregulation also implicated several other diseases. In addition, critically important during embryonic development key player maintaining normal stem cell function. Unraveling physiological regulation function will augment our understanding tumorigenesis ultimately lead to novel therapeutic options.
