Polymerization and oxidation of phenols in supercritical water

摘要: The treatment of toxic and difficult-to-degrade phenolic compounds has become a key issue in the coking, pharmaceutical, chemical industries. Considering polymerization oxidation supercritical water partial oxidation/supercritical (SCWPO/SCWO), present study reviewed removal efficiency reaction pathway waste/wastewater under different conditions. Temperature is dominant factor affecting SCWO reaction. When oxidizing ability insufficient, organics polymerize to form compounds. gradual increase oxidant equivalent causes intermediate product gradually oxidize CO2 H2O completely. Finally, free radical mechanism considered be typical mechanism.
