摘要: Abstract Despite the rapid advances of numerical methods and theoretical models for progressive failure analysis composites, it’s still a challenge to predict strength damage progression composite laminates under open-hole tension (OHT). One main obstacles is capture true stress concentration at hole edge. It has been found that formation longitudinal splitting early loading stage alleviates extremely high concentration. The purpose this study develop an efficient model, employing surface-based cohesive contacts delamination, thickness size effect sublaminate scaled ply-level OHT. by using aligned mesh with fiber direction each ply, good correlation experimental results can be achieved both strengths modes laminates.
