摘要: OBJECTIVE: In this study, the usefulness of transsphenoidal endoscopic approach in treatment a Rathke's cleft cyst is reported. METHODS: Between June 1998 and December 2002, 22 patients affected by sellar-suprasellar cysts were treated using approach. Fourteen experienced pituitary dysfunction (64%), five visual impairment (23%), three reported headaches (14%). RESULTS: The patient follow-up ranged from 8 to 60 months (mean, 33 mo). Pituitary function was restored only four with hyperprolactinemia, whereas headache improved all patients. However, when present before surgery, hypopituitarism unaffected surgery. Two permanent diabetes insipidus (one them surgery). Only one recurrence observed 13-year-old girl at 12 after it new CONCLUSION: represents straightforward mini-invasive for drainage biopsy cyst.
