摘要: This study examines the advantages of using a .12% chlorhexidine gluconate mouthrinse for prophylaxis against oral complications in patients receiving bone marrow transplants. Intensive chemoradiotherapy damages mucosal barrier mouth and throat is often associated with severe inflammation infection. examined use 0.12% Use produced reductions soft tissue disease microbial burden, including significant decrease mucositis Candida infections. The advantage undergoing intensive antineoplastic therapy, potentially other immunocompromised susceptible to infections, was studied.
