摘要: An endogenous antipyresis has been observed around parturition in several species, including rats. It proposed that the neuropeptide vasopressin is responsible for this via an action on V(1a) receptor subtype, but concept controversial. We therefore addressed question of regulation expression within rat hypothalamus parturition, to assess its possible involvement phenomenon at term. analyzed mRNA and protein levels hypothalamus/preoptic area female rats Days 15 22 (parturition) gestation, Day 5 lactation. used quantitative RT-PCR designed a semiquantitative Western blot assay analyze changes between three stages studied. No significant either or were stages, suggesting variations hypothalamic alone cannot account
