摘要: Abstract In this study, the plasma polymerization of ethylene has been used to deposit a polyethylene (PE)-like thin layer on surface selected expanded poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (ePTFE) films. To evaluate activity PE-like surface, acrylic acid (AAc) graft was carried out for pretreated The modified ePTFE films were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies. morphologies investigated scanning electron microscopy atomic force microscopy, wettability evaluated with sessile drop method Wilhelmy plate method. It found that treated specimen can be further grafted AAc implying deposited remained active sites. After grafting AAc, advancing contact angle (θ ) receding r decreased approximately 40° 50°, respectively, exhibiting an improvement hydrophilicity specimens. also lap shear strength polyAAc–grafted specimen, adhered between two stainless steel surfaces epoxy resin, enhanced three times.
