摘要: Since 2009, Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico S.p.A. has been involved in the development of a resistive-type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) for MV applications to be installed A2A Reti Elettriche distribution grid Milan area. The project started with simulations, design, and testing activities single-phase device; this first step paved way developing, testing, live-grid installation at hosting utility site final three-phase SFCL prototype. result research activity is 9 kV/3.4 MVA device, based on first-generation (1G) BSCCO tapes, nowadays permanently as single-feeder protection. This device successfully Italy. In paper, we report field-testing activity. next R&D will consist design demonstrator kV/15.6 same substation an incoming feeder limit contribution total short-circuit network. application very demanding terms reliability availability, but also most interesting one needs.
