摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the effects intracanal irrigation with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and ethylenediaminetetracetic acid (EDTA) prior calcium hydroxide medication on compressive strength root dentin. Forty-eight roots single straight canals were instrumented a crown-down technique using Flexofile files Gates Glidden burs, under 0.9% chloride (NaCl) irrigation. Root randomly separated into 4 groups (n=12), according irrigating solution: Control Group, NaCl; GroupNaOCl, 1% NaOCl; GroupEDTA, 17% EDTA; GroupEDTA+NaOCl, EDTA NaOCl. Solutions remained for 40 min, renewed every 10 except where solutions alternated min. Canals dried filled paste, radiographed. Each canal sealed stored at 37 °C 30 days. After period, cut 1 mm below cementoenamel junction 6 apically from point in order obtain mm-long cylinders. test conducted crosshead speed mm/min. means (±SD) (MPa) were: 151.23±94.36; 167.50±57.25; 108.79±99.88; 60.12±92.10. Significant statistical differences among found (ANOVA Tukey, a=5%, p=0.02). Group GroupNaOCl showed higher than GroupEDTA+NaOCl. Intracanal NaOCl produced significant reduction dentin days after hydroxide.
