摘要: Lignite was for decades the main source of energy and primary raw material used by chemical industry in now German Federal States Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg. Except during initial phases extraction, lignite exclusively recovered opencast mining. The close ties between mining led to establishment major industrial operations such as petrochemical, organochemical, electrochemical plants located near centers. In terms its quality composition, eastern Germany can be classified into West East Elbian formations, corresponding Central Lusatian districts.
