摘要: Abstract One of the most important postural challenges in daily life is to continuously correct destabilizing torque due gravity that accelerates body further away from upright position. This study examined children's (7.9 years old) ( n =7) and adults' =10) capacity generate continuous corrective during a progressive perturbation. The experimental task was maintain an quiet standing on platform gradually slowly toes-down tilted maximum 14° without visual cues. vertical forces applied electromyograms tibialis anterior gastrocnemius were measured. results showed children had different response perturbation than adults. When stationary before inclination, shifted their weight backward whereas adults more balanced distribution weight. During stronger forward force, suggesting larger postero-anterior displacement Muscular activities higher for both gastrocnemius, activation profile different. In conclusion, this aged 7 10 old neuromuscular responses not mature enough
