Creation of lattice defects in the bulk and at the surface of alkali halide crystals

摘要: Abstract When a conduction electron is recaptured in the coulomb field of self-trapped hole, it strongly attracted to site halogen molecular ion on which hole resides, and particularly alkali neighbors, but not atom core. We will consider how can effectively force from its site. The interaction thus generates lattice vacancy occupies form an F center, interstitial atom. If this occurs very near surface, ejection crystal may be result. This defect generation process now accounts for wide variety observations.
