摘要: There is little doubt that one of the greatest advances in field peripheral arterial disease was our ability to visualize problems wherever they occurred. This possible because development arteriography. One dramatic developments made this observation by Forsmann1 1929 a catheter could be threaded through vein into right heart. He also suggested possibility injecting contrast agent for imaging purposes. Because contribution, he awarded Nobel prize 1953. Seldinger2 1953 pushed concept even further showing it replace an intra-arterial needle with manipulated within system. These developments, along realization arteries replaced, led many early advances. first methods used segments abdominal aorta use homografts. Dubost et al3 1952 reported replacement aortic aneurysm homograft. procedure rapidly followed similar efforts United States Julian al4 and Debakey al.5 These homografts were initially treatment aneurysms but did have serious related size, according anatomy patient late breakdown grafts themselves.6 Once became obvious not answer problem replacement, alternative moved ahead rapidly. Vorhees al7 application artificial prosthetic device replacement. other materials such as Dacron, Teflon, polytetrafluoroethylene.8 still are widespread …
