摘要: Abstract A faintly visible pattern was observed by eye in the northern region (towards equator) of clear, moonless sky on one night. Photographic and photometric observations indicated that not due to auroral activity, but probably caused effect a gravity wave, launched from troposphere, OI 557.7 nm airglow emission. period 57 min, wavelength 244 km speed 72 ms −1 were obtained photographs. The direction travel southward pole). Possible ways which wave produced are considered. visibility appeared have been favourable contrast rather than unusual brightness pattern. passage waves 80–100 is thought be cause class Bright Night.
