摘要: We demonstrate that incorporation of a redox-active benzoquinoid ligand into one-dimensional chain compound can give rise to material exhibits simultaneous solid-state redox switching optical, magnetic, and electronic properties. Metalation the 4,5-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-1,2-catechol (N,OLH4) with MnIII affords Mn(N,OL)(DMSO). Structural spectroscopic analysis this show presence MnII centers bridged by N,OL2– ligands, resulting partially from spontaneous ligand-to-metal electron transfer. Upon soaking in solution reductant Cp2Co, Mn(N,OL)(DMSO) undergoes ligand-centered reduction [Mn(N,OL)]−, as revealed suite techniques, including Raman X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
