FRACTURE BEHAVIOR OF GLASS FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER COMPOSITE

摘要: This study investigates the effect of chapped strand glass fiber on fracture behavior polymer composites. Chopped reinforced particle-filled composite beams with varying notch-to-depth ratios and different volume fractions fibers were studied in Mode I using three-point bending tests. Effects polyester resin content was also studied. Polyester contents used 13.00%%, 14.75%, 16.50%, 18.00% 19.50%, 1% 1.5% total weight system. Flexural strength increases an increase content. The critical stress intensity factor determined by several methods such as initial notch depth method, compliance method J-integral method.
