摘要: Abstract We determined the seasonal food habits of brown bears Ursus arctos in three regions Hokkaido, Japan, over eight years (1991–1998) by analysing stomach contents 556 killed for nuisance control or sport hunting. Seasonally dominant items changed from herbaceous plants (61–80% volume) spring, to (53–97% and ants (0–18% early summer, crops (32–46% (26–31% late berries (25–39% volume), acorns nuts (8-16% autumn.
