摘要: Abstract : A program of research is described. The addressed decision making by distributed makers using either consensus or leader structures and confronted both routine tasks different kinds information system crisis. There were three phases--a macro combining published empirical research, a simulation, experimentation. first phase documented that experimental can offer very limited guidance for administrators as it only rarely investigates groups, never organizations, in crises. second exposed the challenges simulations individual (e.g., cognitive), group, organizational, environmental, task properties strategy guiding future research. third extended capabilities an organizational simulator used testbed experiments. uses networked personal computers all communications records transactions between team members. Despite training prior to experiments, participants failed effectively exploit potential crisis response capabilities. Results suggest importance expanding systemic perspectives practice with short-term redesign available systems people who work environments subject Experience also suggested guidelines experiments on pseudo-organizations.
