摘要: Male Wistar rats were strength and swim trained during a substantial period of old age to determine the influence aging activity on histochemical metabolic characteristics predominantly slow (soleus) fast (plantaris) skeletal muscle. Strength training counteracted age-related atrophy fibers age-induced changes in fiber-type distribution both muscles. Swim training, other hand, was without any effect these parameters. The mitochondrial cytoplasmic enzymes became lower with soleus muscle, whereas only plantaris. reduced aerobic capacity muscles, had opposite effect. Aging induced glycogen concentration lateral gastrocnemius This avoided by training. phosphocreatine adenosine 5'-triphosphate concentrations unchanged but higher pattern, therefore, seems have considerable modification muscles rat. effect, however, is related recruitment pattern fiber populations form activity.
