摘要: The structure of ovary in a representative the scale insect family Matsucoccidae, Matsucoccus pini, is described at ultrastructural level. paired ovaries M. pini are composed about 50 ovarioles telotrophic type that develop asynchronously. An individual ovariole consists an anterior tropharium (trophic chamber) and posterior vitellarium. encloses trophocytes (nurse cells) early previtellogenic oocytes termed arrested oocytes. In vitellarium from 1 to 6, linearly arranged may develop. Analysis serial sections has shown each contains 32 germ cells (trophocytes, oocytes, developing oocytes). cytoplasm all these cells, small rod-shaped bacteria present. vitellogenic accessory nuclei arise. As vitellogenesis progresses, migrate toward cortical ooplasm. obtained results discussed phylogenetic context. Microsc. Res. Tech. 77:327–334, 2014. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
