摘要: SUMMARY This paper investigates the characteristic performance of broken bar faults in induction motors at standstill by 2D time-stepping finite-element and experiential approaches. Three identical rotors with same stator are employed to generate one healthy-rotor, one-broken-bar two-broken-bar fault cases a three-phase 1.1-kW squirrel-cage motor. The focus is placed on how affects air-gap flux density, rotor currents, torque magnetic force, as well iron losses. Numerical results validated some experimental measurements obtained from dedicated test rig. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
