A Survey of Current trends in incorporating Virtual Reality and Geographical Information Systems

摘要: The paper describes the results of a comprehensive literature and Internet survey on current trends in virtual Reality GIS (VRGIS). In first part paper, background VRGIS is set, followed by description classification main research areas which focus with an attempt to clarify reasons that led researchers pursue VR solution for specific problems their field. Based observations from practice, definitions are discussed third section. Finally, future directions possibilities development drawn.
