Energy spectrum and persistent current in a nanoscopic elliptical quantum ring threaded by magnetic flux in the presence of Rashba spin-orbit interaction

摘要: Abstract Energy spectrum and persistent current are investigated in an elliptical quantum ring enclosed by a magnetic flux the presence of Rashba spin–orbit interaction (RSOI) through tight-binding model. The is composed M chain rings with N sites each ring. both geometry RSOI leads to appearance energy levels less dependent on lowest channel splitting spin degeneracy. periodicity oscillations versus Φ 0 / ( 2 1 − ζ ) (Φ0 eccentricity) for odd half-filled against case even N. behavior eccentricity depends N, M, filling, strength. Moreover, raising strength, amplitude oscillates independent eccentricity. Therefore, tunable electric field can be applicable as switching devices nanoelectronics.
