摘要: Abstract This paper presents results of five creep tests conducted in uniaxial compression at room temperature. The test specimens were from the welded Topopah Spring tuff formation Yucca Mountain, Nevada. exhibited brittle failure. Multiple stress levels applied steps to each specimen. Each level was maintained for 3 days or longer. transient all can be well described by power functions. is caused an elastic aftereffect. does not show real steady-state creep. so-called rate decreases with time. In general it very low, typically range 10 −7  h −1 . For first 50 h, may as a function stress. specimen failed shortly after entered into accelerating phase.
