摘要: Animal agriculture is often suggested as an important cause of water quality problems. This paper evaluates existing literature on the potential impacts cow-calf production systems in South Florida, and provides a critical overview major gaps limitations present suggestions for future directions. Discrepancies suggest that there high degree uncertainty associated with early estimates relative contribution operations to problems south Florida. Despite extensive body this subject, limited information available sources P watershed relationship between land use, transport potential, management, climatic conditions controlling loading. In addition, relationships urbanization, changes are issues have received little attention. Efforts should be placed generating sound, science-based about real grazinglands issues. Maintaining enhancing natural resources ranches essential preserve Florida’s unique ecosystems.
