摘要: In this paper we evaluate a layered coding technique based on subband for the purpose of encoding medical images realtime transmission over heterogeneous networks. The objective research is to support conference in networking scenario. scalable scheme under study generates single bit-stream, from which number sub-streams varying bit-rates can be extracted. This makes it possible multicast scenario, where different receivers are capable receiving bit- rate streams same source, an efficient and way. multirate property also allows us provide graceful degradation loss when used networks multiple priorities. evaluates quality video encoded with at terms peak signal noise ratio cine-angiogram video. It describes experiments across asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) local area network, using two layer stream, assigning network service classes layers.
