摘要: Understanding the distribution of lifestyle emissions among populations and by activities is important for equitable targeting mitigation measures, in order to encourage reductions from households with high consumption avoid regressive impacts associated imposing burdens on poor (Rao et al. 2017; Roberts 2020; Wiedman 2020). Average consumption vary substantially between countries. For example, current per capita USA are approximately 17.6 tons CO2e capita, around 10 times that India at 1.7 capita. By contrast, European Union (EU) UK together have an average footprint 7.9 (see chapter 2).
