摘要: The occurrence of plastic pellets on the Jordanian beaches along northeastern side Gulf Aqaba (Red Sea) is being reported for first time. Five about 4,650 m in length and 134,000 2 area were surveyed presence these spherules during two successive years. Pellets with a variety colors, shapes sizes found. most likely due to accidental spillages: cargo loss sea transport sweeping raw materials, such as those imported feedstock local factories Jordan, into shore by wave action. When compared other parts world, are considered heavily polluted pellets. This report discusses type, degree degradation, sources possible effects marine environment suggests actions reduce input at source.
