摘要: As automated vehicles receive more attention from the media, there has been an equivalent increase in coverage of ethical choices a vehicle may be forced to make certain crash situations with no clear safe outcome. Much this focused on philosophical thought experiment known as “trolley problem,” and substituting for trolley car’s software bystander. While is stark straightforward example decision making vehicle, it risks marginalizing entire field if become only problem public’s mind. In chapter, I discuss shortcomings problem, introduce nuanced examples that involve risk uncertainty. Risk management introduced alternative approach, its dimensions are discussed.
