摘要: A hand-supportable digital imaging-based bar code symbol reader comprises: an automatic object presence detection subsystem; a multi-mode area-type image formation and subsystem having narrow-area wide-area image-capture modes of operation; LED-based illumination independently controllable LED arrays; light exposure measurement control capturing buffering image-processing reading input/output system for controlling the subsystems. The employs method intelligently illuminating objects during capture, wherein arrays are controlled particular moments to generate images which, through analysis, determined be substantially free noise (i.e. intense spatial intensity variations) caused by specular-type reflection off imaging operations.
