Effects of dibutyryl cAMP on growth performance and carcass traits in finishing pigs

摘要: Abstract This study was designed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with N 6 , 2′-O-dibutyryl adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (dbcAMP) on growth performance, carcass traits, histochemical characteristics and serum constituents in finishing pigs. Seventy-two Duroc × (Landrace × Large White) barrows (57.3 ± 0.6 kg) were randomly allotted 3 treatments replicate pens/treatment (4 pigs/pen). The pigs fed diets containing 0, 10 20 mg dbcAMP/kg, respectively, until final slaughter weight approximately 90 kg. There no differences performance among treatments. Leaf fat proportion first rib backfat thickness reduced ( P  = 0.10), 10 mg dbcAMP/kg. Lean percentage greater  = 0.10) 10 mg dbcAMP/kg when compared control group, but hot not affected by dbcAMP. Growth rate fat-free lean tissues tended increase  = 0.09) dbcAMP-supplemented Dietary dbcAMP decreased  = 0.06) supplementation; however, difference longissimus muscle cell density detected Serum concentrations total protein increased
