摘要: Red gypsum, a waste material which derives from the production of titanium dioxide with high content CaSO4 and Fe(OH)2, was evaluated as low-cost adsorbent mixed green compost. gypsum is becoming interesting because widespread TiO2 industrial in many industrialized countries. The aim this work to evaluate whether mixture red compost could be used an adsorbing decontaminate waters polluted heavy metals. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out Lead representative metals waters. studied test performance composite function composition mixture. evaluation capacity plus based on Freundlich Langmuir equations. results indicate that has for Pb aqueous solutions. grew following addition increasing amounts due increase negative charges, promoted attraction towards positively charged ions. may occur result different mechanisms such ion exchange, surface complexation electrostatic interaction. - showed considerable remove solutions over wide range concentrations.
