摘要: We believe that backscattered electron microscopy is a technique will revolutionize the study of fine-grained sediments and sedimentary rocks components coarse-grained materials such as sandstones. The produces images with resolutions about ten times better than those obtained visible-light petrographic microscope. Additionally, mineral contrast function average atomic number atoms in minerals imaged, thus related to mineralogy, which can be determined by using energy-dispersive X-ray analysis combination microscopy.
