摘要: A second-generation multichannel probe designed for measuring single-unit activity in neural structures is described. The includes CMOS circuitry electronically positioning the recording sites with respect to active neurons and amplifying multiplexing recorded signals. selects eight from among 32 on shank using a static input channel selector. signals selected channels are then amplified multiplexed outside world. offers typical AC gain of 300 (15 Hz 7 kHz), DC 0.3, an equivalent noise 15 mu V rms. Operating single 5-V supply, dissipates 2.5 mW power implements selection, self-testing, data output, initialization three external leads. realized 12 masks high-yield single-sided dissolved wafer process 3- m feature size pitch electrode shanks. >
