Direct production of droplets from breaking wind-waves —its observation by a multi-colored overlapping exposure photographing technique

摘要: The micro-scale configurations of the surface breaking wind-waves and their processes change were investigated through wind-wave tank experiments, with use a simple, new photographic technique multi-colored overlapping exposures. most conspicuous phenomenon was appearance small projections, mainly on crest wave succeeding stretching these projections into droplets. This sequence events shows process direct production droplets by waves. movements such directly produced also measured characteristics in relation to phase are discussed.
