摘要: HE present paper attempts to review the theoretical and experimental points of st connected with the el'astic constants of tropic materials (mainly crystal's). Atten-is confined exclusively to the" elastic" range, and such topics as ultimate strength and plastic slip and glide are automatically excluded. The aim has been to make the account complete to the end of. 1944, but, owing to obvious dif-ficulties imposed by the non-availability of certain periodicals, it is possible that the period 1939-1944 is not fully covered.
