摘要: Volcanoes are critical geologic hazards that challenge our ability to make long-term forecasts of their eruptive behaviors. They also have direct and indirect impacts on human lives society. As is the case with many phenomena, time scales over which volcanoes evolve greatly exceed a lifetime. On other hand, scale volcano can move from inactivity eruption be rather short: months, weeks, days, even hours. Thus, scientific study monitoring essential mitigate risk. There thousands Earth, it impractical implement ground-based at them all. Fortunately, there effective means for monitoring, including increasing capabilities satellite-based technologies.
