Use of Community Services by Seniors Before and After an Emergency Visit

摘要: A l'aide de donnees provenant d'une cohorte 1 352 personnes agees demeurant dans la communaute et ayant visite l'urgence d'un centre hospitalier, nous avons etudie prevalence (avant a l'urgence) l'incidence (pendant une periode suivi six mois) l'utilisation des services communautaires sante ainsi que les facteurs relies ces services. Les ont ete recueillies lors d'entrevues au telephone du suivi. Avant l'urgence, 59,8 pour cent patients avaient moins incapacite en regard aux activites vie quotidienne (AVQ); 16,8 recevaient communautaires. Parmi qui ne pas auparavant, 45,4 developpe nouvelle AVQ pendant trois mois suivant l'urgence; 23,5 avec commence recevoir En controlant l'ampleur besoms, admis l'hopital se sont averes etre plus susceptibles ceux recu leur conge l'urgence. Il existe probablement nombreux besoins non combles cette population.
