摘要: Agricultural residues offer great promise and new challenges as replacement for wood in engineered products. Wheat straw, example, offers desirable geometric mechanical attributes of cement-bonded particleboard. The inhibitory effects wheat straw on hydration cement, however, represent the major obstacle against development strawboard. Accelerated processing techniques involving carbonation reactions were successfully employed to produce cement-based board products incorporating straw. Comprehensive mechanical, durability physical tests confirmed high potential strawboard a versatile building product capable meeting requirements demanding applications.
