摘要: While much information exists about the structure and function of clonally distributed T cell receptor (TCR) alpha beta heterodimer, little is known gamma protein, product a third rearranging TCR gene. An antiserum to carboxyl-terminal peptide common several murine chain constant regions monoclonal antibody T3 complex were used identify products this gene family in subpopulation Lyt2-, L3T4- thymocytes. This does not express or full-length messenger RNA. The 35-kilodalton (kD) protein that disulfide-bonded 45-kD partner associated with complex. Analysis glycosylation pattern thymic revealed major variable region (V gamma) transcribed activated peripheral cells absent from subpopulation. bear second may therefore represent distinct lineage differentiating within thymus.
