摘要: The effect of natural water column mixing on the inorganic iodine and nutrient speciation in an intensely eutrophicated anchialine pond has been studied late seasons 2003 2004. As a result extremely warm very dry European summer this system attained isohaline isothermal conditions late-summer. Vertical between highly reducing deep with that upper layers produced intermediate redox homogeneous distribution within column. Nitrogen additionally suggests pronounced activity nitrifying bacteria and/or archaea arising from influx ammonium nitrogen. Meanwhile, 2004 nearly November. Partial resulted downward transport dissolved oxygen moderate upward fluxes nutrients into surface layers, whereby flux was sufficiently high to promote nitrification. A response accord those major constituents nutrients. results demonstrate that, spite marked changes speciation, total remained preserved over each survey. Oxic hypoxic formed immediately after overturn September favoured iodate reduction, while slow November promoted iodide oxidation. In dominated by sedimentary influence degree oxygenation seems control inventory for pond.
