摘要: Background: Multiple reforms have been introduced in the Republic of Srpska to enhance prescribing efficiency. Objectives: First, assess their influence on utilization and expenditure proton-pump inhibitors, statins renin–angiotensin inhibitor drugs. Second, whether can obtain low prices for generics. Third, suggest additional that could be introduced. Methods: Observational study all ambulatory care patients between 2003 2010. Defined daily doses (DDDs) DDDs per 1000 inhabitants day used measuring changes utilization. Reimbursed as health insurance perspective. Results: Increasing three classes. Utilization angiotensin-receptor blockers principally limited by restrictions. expenditure/DDD classes decreased up 82% 2010 versus 2004, appreciably improving efficiency statins.
