摘要: OBJECTIVE To study the usefulness of Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scoring system for prognostication inhospital mortality in acute myocardial infarction. DESIGN A prospective validation study. SETTING medical intensive care unit (ICU) at a university hospital. PATIENTS Over 3-yr period, 2,007 admissions 1,714 patients with infarction were studied. In readmissions to ICU during same hospital stay, only first admission was MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS Mean age 72 +/- 10 yrs. The rate 13% total 16%. APACHE score 11.6 6.5. There close correlation between observed predicted rates classes various scores. Observed scores 20 24 higher than (p < .03). this subgroup, 25% had length stay 8 hrs. CONCLUSIONS Inhospital could be accurately Prognostication not as good
