摘要: Background Care for patients with thyroid nodules is complex and multidisciplinary, research demonstrates variation in care. The objective was to develop clinical guidelines quality metrics reduce unwarranted improve quality. Methods Multidisciplinary expert consensus modified Delphi approach. Source documents were workflow algorithms from Kaiser Permanente Northern California Cancer of Ontario based on the 2015 American Thyroid Association management adult differentiated cancer. Results A consensus-based, unified preoperative, perioperative, postoperative developed North use. Twenty-one panelists achieved 16 statements about workflow-embedded process outcomes addressing safety, access, appropriateness, efficiency, effectiveness, patient centeredness Conclusion panel Canadian United States experts workflows metric help care, improving overall care diagnosed nodules.
