摘要: The challenge to develop efficient gastroretentive dosage forms began about 20 years ago, following the discovery of Helicobacter pylori by Warren and Marshall. In order understand real difficulty increasing gastric residence time a form, we have first summarized important physiologic parameters, which act upon time. Afterwards, reviewed different drug delivery systems designed until now, i.e. high-density, intragastric floating, expandable, superporous hydrogel, mucoadhesive magnetic systems. Finally, focused on especially against H. pylori, including specific targeting this bacterium.
