摘要: Abstract The harpacticoid copepod, Heteropsyllus pseudonunni Coull and Palmer, when fed Juncus roemerianus Scheele (needlerush) detritus produced significantly more eggs than the alga Dunaliella sp. Five food rations a starved control were used: A, algal concentration ≈ 10 4 cells · ml −1 ; LA, 3 D, 0.25 g LD, 0.025 LDLA, mixture of LD LA rations. Geometric mean total egg production values were: LDLA 132.5; 132.6; D 120.5; A 65.8; 5.0. results less ( P = 0.05; Student-Newman-Keuls' test) all others, while results. not statistically different. Similar trends obtained brood sizes number broods compared. In second feeding experiment, using detritus, bacteria on sand grains, algae Nitzschia sp.) SNK (166.0) or (132.2) (58.9).
