摘要: The Malmquist productivity index is based on distance functions, which are reciprocals of radial Debreu-Farrell efficiency measures, and have a number desirable properties. Linear programming techniques frequently employed to calculate the measures. However these can leave slacks, constitute non-radial form inefficiency not incorporated into analysis. Thus measure overstates true efficiency, reciprocal function understates relevant efficient subset, adversely affected, although in an analytically indeterminate direction. This has led us consider new definition “one-sided” develop nonradial incorporates all slacks selected side. Replacing conventional measures with our generates what we call quasi-Malmquist index. We illustrate application change Spanish banking.
